Taikisha USA is a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
(EPC) company specializing in large-scale industrial paint finishing
systems. Our solutions serve some of the world's most recognized
manufacturers across the automotive, heavy truck, motorcycle,
aerospace, and general industrial markets.
We are seeking a CapEx Buyer to join our collaborative
project team in Troy, Michigan. In this role, you'll work closely with
engineering, project management, construction, proposals, accounting,
and field personnel to ensure all equipment is sourced to meet
specifications at the right price, payment terms, and lead times for
complex industrial projects.

What You'll Do
As a CapEx Buyer, you'll manage the entire procurement lifecycle for
capital equipment supporting industrial construction projects. Your
responsibilities will include:

Identifying, qualifying, and evaluating suppliers to support project
requirements

Collaborating with Engineering and Proposals teams to understand
project specifications, schedules, budgets, and customer requirements

Creating sourcing strategies and managing the RFQ process through our
procurement management system

Soliciting, analyzing, and negotiating supplier quotations
-
Leading sourcing committee meetings to obtain approvals from key
stakeholders

Issuing purchase orders and managing deliveries
-
Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to
proactively resolve issues and mitigate schedule risks

Providing regular status updates to project teams
-
Coordinating receiving documentation, freight, and other project
documentation

Managing invoice approvals and resolving discrepancies
-
Coordinating spare parts documentation
-
Supporting project start-up and commissioning activities by sourcing
additional equipment and materials as needed
What You Bring
-
Minimum of 3+ years of CapEx purchasing experience

Familiarity with project-based procurement and construction schedules
-
Experience reviewing technical specifications, drawings, and supplier
proposals

Strong analytical and organizational skills with advanced proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a
schedule-driven project environment

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with
suppliers and internal stakeholders

Authorization to work for any employer in the United States

Ability to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally
